Dr. Mary Stauffer’s 100th Birthday Celebration at CMSC

Come one, come all to the biggest and best birthday party of the year!  On Sunday, August 27th, the Mary R. Stauffer Foundation would like to invite the Downey community to the Columbia Memorial Space Center to celebrate the 100th birthday of Dr. Mary Stauffer.  The festivities begin at 12:00pm and will conclude at 5:00pm.  A full program will commemorate this momentous occasion with local school projects throughout the facility, as well as special guests and of course, a birthday cake.  Light refreshments will also be provided by the culinary arts students of Warren High School.

Dr. Stauffer is widely known throughout Downey for her generosity and continuous support of community, including serving as a founding board member of the Space Center.  The Mary R. Stauffer Foundation, in its 25 years, has given over $5 million to Downey and its citizens.  Dr. Mary Stauffer is truly a remarkable woman who has impacted the lives of many people near and far.  With her determination to promote education and career advancement, she has provided many opportunities to so many people.

Mark your calendars!  Visit the Columbia Memorial Space Center on Sunday, August 27th to meet, greet, and honor the Downey Legend herself, Dr. Mary Stauffer.  The Space Center will be open from 12:00pm to 5:00pm.
