Astronomy Night

Explore the Cosmos: Join Us for Astronomy Night!

Join us every month for Astronomy Night, a recurring event that brings the cosmos closer to you! Each month, expert guest speakers dive into fascinating astronomy topics, sharing their knowledge and passion for the universe. After the talks, explore the night sky with our telescopes and witness celestial objects up close. Whether you're an avid stargazer or new to astronomy, our monthly event offers an ongoing opportunity to experience the wonders of space.

Our next Astronomy Night is Friday, April 4.

Time: 7:00PM - 9:00PM
Ages: All ages welcome
Cost: Free

Note: Telescopes are only brought out when weather permits. All ages are welcome, but some presentations may be better suited for older children and adults.

Got a telescope but not sure how to use it?

Bring it to Astronomy Night this April and May! Our experienced stargazers will guide you through setup, alignment, and exploring the night sky.

Join Museum Facilitators Carissa and Jared for the first session of a two-part series designed for new telescope owners and aspiring astronomers. We’ll walk you through the essentials, from the different types of telescopes to the key components and how to get started with stargazing.

This is a hands-on experience, so bring your telescope. You'll get real-time help, build confidence with your equipment, and connect with others who share your curiosity about the cosmos. Whether you’re a beginner or just need a little extra guidance, this series will set you up for incredible nights under the stars.
