Parents Night Out
Take a night off while your kids have a blast at the Columbia Memorial Space Center after-hours! They'll enjoy three hours of engaging activities, games, and open play, plus dinner, snacks, and drinks-a stellar evening of fun and exploration!
Family Nite
Join us each month for our FREE Family Nite, where imagination soars and curiosity sparks! This recurring evening event features fascinating talks on space related topics with expert speakers stationed in different rooms throughout the museum. Astronaut Training
Columbia Memorial Space Center to Houston, we have a lift-off for our Astronaut Training Camp! Enroll to train like an astronaut, including examining film and photos taken from space and playing an active role in space missions! We’ll end our week blasting off rockets into space!
Sci-Fi Engineering
We received a strange transmission from outer space! It contains the science behind some of our favorite Sci-Fi movies and shows! Beam down to an exoplanet of your creation, turn liquid into a wearable solid, and explore the role of an astrobiologist!
Young Explorers Makerspace
Attend our Makerspace Camp for the ultimate combination of science and creativity. Feel empowered to tinker, build and explore with common tools, equipment, materials and electronics to create your own functional toys!

Annual Free For All
Museums Free for All is back! On Sunday, March 16, 2025, enjoy free admission to over 30 museums across SoCal, including the Columbia Memorial Space Center from 10 AM to 3 PM. Don’t miss this chance to explore arts, culture, and science at no cost!
Although we’re usually closed on Sundays, we are making a special exception for this event.

We’re celebrating a NASA legend’s 99th birthday with cake and an incredible story about how she helped shape the first six space shuttles! Join us on March 13, 2025, from 6–8 PM, FREE!
Early Childhood Program Starts!
Ignite your child's curiosity with our Early Childhood STEM Program, designed for young explorers ages 2-5! This 6-week journey encourages development of fine motor skills, language, and listening through engaging STEM activities, art, sensory play, and pre-writing exercises. From planets and geology to gadgets, engineering, and more, children will dive into diverse STEM topics with hands-on fun.
Saturday Science Workshop
Get ready for a month of Super Science, where learners dive into an exciting range of hands-on experiments! From static electricity to the visible light spectrum, this interactive workshop sparks curiosity and discovery through engaging, science-based activities.
