Are you passionate about science, technology, engineering, or mathematics? Do you want to make a difference in your community?

Volunteer with us at the Columbia Memorial Space Center! Click the button below to fill out our interest form and get involved.

As the national memorial to the Space Shuttle Columbia, the Columbia Memorial Space Center is dedicated to preserving the history of Downey’s aerospace program through our interactive exhibits and programming.  Today, more than 40 active volunteers of all ages and backgrounds help to maintain daily operation of the Space Center by leading robotics classes, guiding school tours, helping with various STEM programs and supporting special events like Rocket Fever, Family Nights, and the City of STEM Science Festival!

Each volunteer brings unique skills and talents to the Space Center. Volunteers learn while working alongside staff and other volunteers. As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to work with the community and form friendships with like-minded people.
