The Space Center will close to the public in response to the current COVID-19 situation and the recommendations of State and County authorities beginning Monday, March 16, 2020. The health and safety of Space Center visitors, employees, and volunteers is our top priority. Following the evolving guidelines from health officials and like many other public organizations, a temporary closure of CMSC is in the best interest of our community, at this point.
Community is the bedrock of our mission and the well-being of our community is fundamental to what we do as a cultural organization. We care deeply about our guests, students and staff and strive to serve them all well and safely, while also remaining a source for information and education, especially about how science impacts our world.
The Space center is weighing its options in light of the current situation with COVID-19. The Center will be closed, but is exploring ways to continue to engage with the public through other digital means, remaining as a resource for our community to connect to science, technology and each other. We will be continually reassessing our operations, so please check back for updates.
While the Space Center is closed to the public until further notice, staff will remain, as of now. Staff will be following increased cleaning procedures and the recommendations of health officials, including practicing safe, social distancing while working. The Space Center continues to be in constant communication with local officials and will provide updates and make necessary changes, as needed.
The Space Center offers our support to our neighbors, during this difficult time. Located on the site where we overcame the challenge of creating the spacecraft that took humans to the moon, the Space Center is confident that our community will rise to this latest challenge.

El Space Center se cerrará al público en respuesta a la situación actual de COVID-19 y las recomendaciones de las autoridades Estatales y del Condado a partir del Lunes 16 de Marzo de 2020. La salud y seguridad de los visitantes, empleados y voluntarios del Space Center es nuestra principal prioridad . Siguiendo las reglas generals en evolución de los funcionarios de salud y, como muchas otras organizaciones públicas, un cierre temporal de CMSC es lo mejor para nuestra comunidad, en este momento.
