Girls in STEM Science Fair

  • Columbia Memorial Space Center 12400 Columbia Way Downey, CA, 90242 United States (map)

On Saturday, April 29th, stop by the Space Center to support the Girls in STEM Club Science Fair.  Witness the brilliance of our Girls in STEM Club as they showcase their innovative projects. Don’t miss this opportunity to support and encourage the next generation of women in STEM – that’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Admission is free.

All Science Fair projects presented by the Girls in STEM Club will be on display throughout the day to enjoy.  Projects will cover a variety of topics including polymers, black holes and plant physiology. The day will also include a Career Fair.  From 10am to 1pm, all attendees, whether girls or boys, will be able to engage in conversation with professional women in different STEM careers. These professionals will share their experience choosing a STEM career, what impact it’s made to them personally, and how their jobs affect our world.

The mission of the Girls in STEM Club is to expose girls ages 8-18 to new experiences and opportunities in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) and encourage them to explore careers in STEM-related fields. Our goal is to encourage girls to create, explore, test, and share new ideas through hands-on activities and challenges centered on STEM topics.
